Between Aljarque, El Rompido, Punta Umbria and Cartaya you´ll find El Portil, an urban nucleus that is very small and belongs to the municipality of Cartaya, in the province of Huelva in the Costa de la luz of southern Spain.

El Portil is an urban residential area was built for the sole purpose of resting and relaxing on vacation. It does not have much of a nightlife or nighttime activities, but there are plenty of restuarnts and shops, but most importantly one of the best beaches in Spain.

In El Portil you´ll find plenty of apartments and hotels to rent during your holidays. You´ll find a wide range of activities as well, such as going to the beach, sailing, kitesurfing and windsurfing. If you prefere dry land sports you can do some trekking or golf. It is all very close to the El Rompido and Punta Umbria in Huelva, for which the acces is great.

If you are a nature lover, the Enebrales and Lagoons of El Portil, are two natural parks with an unmeasureable ecological value. This beauty has classified this are of Huelva as a Center of Interest for national tourism.
