The beach in El Portil in Huelva has golden sand and is shared by two municipalites, that of Cartaya and Punta Umbria in the southern region of Spain in Huelva.
The beach of El Portil in the south of Spain is surrounded by natural parks, and a natural environment. The parks are surrounded by golden sand beaches and other parks such as Natural park of the El Portil lagoons, the marshlands, etc.
The beach in El Portil extends more than 3kms of golden sands with a variable width depending of the tides. It is almost an urban beach, one that has many services at your disposition. It is one of the main beaches of Costa de la luz in southern Spain that is known for it´s crystal waters and is known as an anchoring spot for many boats. Only a few kms towards the west you´l find the Rompido Beach in the municipality of Cartaya.
