To speak of nature in El Portil, Huelva is too speak of the lovely forest and lagoons. Two emblamatic areas that surround El Portil, it´s urban nucleus and residential area that give this zone a special beauty.

The Lagoons in El Portil in Huelva are a natural park that as formed by the action of the wind and the tides over the sand dunes. Acorn trees, pine trees and many other types of trees are found in this paradise. These lagoons are also very important to the migratory birds that usually stop in this are to rest during their long voyages.

It is an area of varied fauna and flora, like we mentioned earlier. Besides the fauna and flora you´ll also find porcupines and chameleons.
It is an area that commerially is exploited, since in certain points fisherman go out to catch their seafood, which is an activity that is controlled.

On the other hand there is also the Enebrales Park that has about 160 acres of dense forest full of many different types of trees. From it´s fauna we must mention the lizards, chameleons, and different types of birds.
